Homework is Due

This is my submission for the GBPixelArtJam24, called "Homework is Due". The theme for the jam was "Color" and you had to pick one of four colorpalettes.

Restrictions for the Jam Included:

• 160 x 144 pixels in dimension (the size of a Game Boy screen).
• 4 colors, using the one of the provided palettes.
• A maximum of 192 unique 8x8 pixel tiles.

I chose the palette called "Homework", which gave me a very "blue" feeling.

The name of the palette as well as the feeling the palette gave me inspired me to make a picture from the perspective of a person who has too much unfinished homework that is due.

I was inspired to do the overlay as an effect of narrowed view because of a game I did recently where we used that same effect. This also helped me save a lot of unique tiles, a nice win-win!
