It's time to save the day!
Town in Peril is a 2.5D top down game inspired by the Zelda series. In this story adventure game you need to follow the path as the adventurer to save a new found town from an immanent danger. But is everything as it seems to be?
Use your sword and bow to kill enemies and try to find all the different abilities to get as much mobility and actions as possible, it will make you a so much cooler. And maybe it will help you discover some secrets aswell...
We made this!
Town in Peril is a student project made in as an gymnasiearbete (highschool final work) during one school year (2 lessons a week) at Mediagymnasiet Nacka strand in Stockholm, Sweden. The game was made september 2018 to april 2019 using Gamemaker Studio 2. The team included Mau Lundell, Rick Åström and Gustav Dyrendahl.
2.0!
Town in Peril now has a 2.0 version. Both versions are very much playable. The 1.0 version is what we managed to create during the set time of the project while the 2.0 version is what the original design and ideas were for the game to be at the start of the project.

I had a lot of fun playing this game, the art and the music immediately gave me that classic adventure game vibe from the very first second! The hookshoot and a couple of other items were nice references to the Zelda series that made me smile, thicc!
I am very curious to see what other productions your team might bring us, do you guys have more projects in mind?

We aren't currently making more games together since we have moved on from highschool to other education. But all of us are creating things here and there on our own. I publish most of the games I make during my time at Futuregames and hopefully you might like some of those. Tho they are mostly 3D instead of 2D.
I can understand, sometimes projects are done with friends but eventually we each have our own career wishes.
I am very excited to hear you're going to continue to study and make games, it really allows you to make games on a whole new level. And who knows, perhaps you will meet other people with whom you can make games again?
